Inspired by advancements in motion tracking, wearable technology and miniature sensor arrays, the Prior Ghosts Working Group was founded in 2015 as a think tank to consider the intrinsic risks and creative possibilities of hyper-personal computing. Its members, with decades of combined expertise in choreography, digital art, interface design, hardware hacking, ethnography, data science, facilitation and software design, are committed to collectively pondering, articulating, and enacting a technologic future predicated on the radical re-imagining of human / computer interfaces. The project is founded on the fundamental belief that bringing artistic intelligence to the engineering of emerging technologies will make the world more equitable, more sustainable, and more embracing of creative discourse.
